I’M ASHLEY.

I help curious, reflective adults examine the deeper patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and life dissatisfaction.

Ashley Blake

Together, we’ll uncover what’s driving your difficulties, why familiar patterns keep repeating, and what needs to shift for things to change. My goal is to help you see yourself more clearly, make sense of your inner life, and find a new way forward.

If you’re looking for quick advice or a set of coping tricks, this may not be the right fit. The kind of work I do is different: it’s about uncovering what’s underneath and making changes that last.

YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND YOURSELF

You may feel restless, second-guess yourself, or be weighed down by a low mood. You may notice the same interpersonal struggles playing out again and again. You’ve probably asked yourself:

Why do I keep reacting this way? Why do I repeat the same patterns? Why do I feel disconnected from myself or others?

These aren’t surface-level problems. They point to deeper structures of belief and emotion that developed over time. Psychotherapy helps you examine those structures and change them.

This work unfolds gradually. Just as it took years to build these patterns, it takes time to understand them and create new ways of living.

Insight doesn’t happen in three sessions- it’s cumulative, building over time in the context of a consistent therapeutic relationship.

MY APPROACH

I’m not a therapist who hands out lists of tools or tells you what to do. I don’t believe lasting change comes from rehearsed strategies that don’t fit your actual life.

Instead, I’m direct and engaged. I ask questions that get beneath the surface, clarify patterns, and help you see how your mind works. I take therapy seriously - listening closely, challenging when needed, and pointing out what keeps you stuck.

I work best with people who are curious, thoughtful, and motivated to understand themselves. My clients aren’t just looking for symptom relief. They want to explore, discover, and do the deeper work of changing long-standing struggles.

What is a Session Like?

Spiral staircase
  • We get to the root of what’s happening, not just the surface problem.

  • We examine how old beliefs and habits continue to shape your life.

  • We connect past experiences to your present struggles in a clear, straightforward way.

  • We explore how you relate to yourself and others, and what needs to change.

  • We take on difficult topics directly, with honesty and clarity.

Am I the right therapist for you?

Are you looking for a therapist who…

  • Understands anxiety and depression as real, complex struggles - not “just in your head.”

  • Works analytically, breaking down why you think and act the way you do.

  • Creates an environment where you can speak openly and directly.

  • Asks thoughtful questions that push you toward real insight.

  • Helps you work through emotions and relationship challenges, not just control your thoughts.

  • Helps you clarify values and direction when life feels repetitive or unfulfilling.

  • Offers therapy that aims for long-term clarity and change - not short-term fixes.

If that sounds like what you’re seeking, we may be a good fit.
